Gangsta Bloggers- A Remix

@DearAuthor recently requested a Gangsta Bully remix for Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio due to Anne Rice’s response to a post found here:

Jenny Trout: Gangster Bully | Trout Nation.

Here you go @DearAuthor:

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my blog and realize my writing is so deft
Cause I’ve been reading and reviewing so long,
That even my mama thinks that my reviews are the bomb
But I ain’t never crossed an author that didn’t deserve it
Me be treated like a punk you know that’s unheard of
You better watch how you’re writing and where your ARCs were left
Or you and your books might be found DNF’d
I really hate to trip but I gotta
As I review these books, they want to call me a bully, fool
I’m the kinda Gangsta Blogger the little bloggers wanna be like
On my knees in the night reading consumes my life

Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise

Look at the situation they got me facin’
I can’t live a normal life, I have followers waitin’
So I gotta be down with the reviewer’s team
Too much book reading got me chasing dreams
I’m an educated fool with books on my mind
Got my Kindle in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I’m a caffeined out gangsta set typing banger
And my bloggers are down so don’t arouse my anger, fool
Death ain’t nothing but a keystroke away,
I’m reviewing books, do or die, what can I say
I’m reading book one now, but will I live to see book four
The way things are going I don’t know

Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the book should have been rated not four stars but three

Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise

Power and the review, review and the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody’s reviewing, but half of them ain’t in the know
What’s going on in Twitter, but I don’t know any mo’
They say I gotta change, but nobody’s here to see
If they can’t see the obvious, how can they reach me
I guess they can’t, I guess they won’t
I guess they confused, that’s why I know I’m right, fool

Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Been spending most their lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise
Keep spending most our lives, blogging in the reviewer’s paradise

Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the book should have been rated not four stars but three
Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the book should have been rated not four stars but three
